The O's replaced David Newhan with Val Majewski today. He will almost surely play, and this shows how little faith the FO has in Patterson and Matos to pick it up and start reaching their potential. Today the Orioles signed Richard Hidalgo to a minor league contract. I think this is another great low risk/high reward move. In the last 2 years(they are considered down years) he has averaged 19.5 hrs. Not too shabby. In today's "Washingtons Post Orioles Notebook" I found an interesting tidbit.-Corey Patterson would be the starting CFer if the season started now.
